I learned this from a magazine a long time ago.

Take a tortilla, cut it into triangles, cook in microwave - now mine take about 1 1/2 minutes on high, and they are done, but you'll have to see how they work in your own microwave. They will harden more as they cool.

You could probably season them beforehand also, but they are fine for me plain.

Definitely good when you are out of Baked Tostitos!

Mags... do you use flour or corn? (would corn be ok?)

I've only tried flour, because that's what I usually have around, but I'm sure corn would work fine too.

If you try it, let us know how it goes!

I usually use corn but do mine in the oven. It takes longer & you really have to keep an eye on them so next time I'll definitely try the microwave. As for seasoning I've found the easiest thing to do is to get a bowl of water, put some salt (or other seasonings) in & make a wash. Then just dip the tortillas in the water, cut & bake.

Even before I was diagnoised with IBS I tried this recipe and I found that weting the tortilla and then sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over it makes a tasty, sweet treat.
