I am having a paricular week where everything i eat bloats me up. (yes, i have done the only eating sfs bit). Fennel tea and ginger work well to relieve symptoms, so i was thinking if i can put these things in food form it wouldn't puff me up? maybe? Any suggestions/recipes would be welcome. PS--i can't eat most breads... (yes, it's a challenge!!!) Please help!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure if I'm going to be much help - but fennel is great with both chicken and fish, you can steam it, boil it or stir fry it and with some say, sweet potato, its a pretty safe meal (as long as you can tolerate the fennel), ginger also goes well with chicken, honey and ginger chicken - yum! Hope that helps maybe!!

This isn't exactly a food, but it's a good way to get fennel on a hot day: Lemon Fennel Slush

Here's a salad of Bev's that contains crystallized ginger: Gingered Tuna Salad

Here are a couple of recipes from Shirl that contain ginger: Sweet Potato and Ginger Salad
Ginger Spiced Carrots

That's just a start. I found those on the recipe index by hitting CTRL-F and typing in "ginger". I bet you can find more! Good luck.
