Sooo actually its my husband who has the IBS but he would never make a post on this board, so its all me here. He (45M) really just had a bad attack where he had really painful bloating and pain. He has anxiety and he's now afraid he won't be able to eat again since literally everything we've tried makes his gut start roiling. I thought some chicken broth (made sure there were no onions or garlic) would be a good slow start but nope! Its getting hard to convince him things aren't as hopeless as he thinks. I just need one good food item that he can eat that won't make his gut blow up. Can anyone help please? He hasn't really eaten in nearly 2 days but tea.

Hi Sue - I"m so sorry he is going through this, tell him to hang in there, this can get much better. If he's stuck in a pain cycle see here to break that fast https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzwLhtXq3OE&t=2s

And then for safe foods moving forward, no worries - there is a whole green light list he can eat without fear here https://www.helpforibs.com/diet/heathersibsdietcheatsheet.pdf
