Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

Hello. I just joined the community. Just ordered the fiber powder, too. I have hope that it will work.

I've been struggling with IBS since my early teens. It's been a rocky road and much worse the last 5-6 years. I've been trying to figure out exactly what is going on but it's been tough.

I recently went to a gastroenterologist, to try and see if something else is going on. They were of very little help. I was so discouraged. They wouldn't give me any dietary guidance.

I have done as much research online as I could. Read many solid articles and medical journal entries to try and figure out a plan and dietary path. But some of the things they said to do made me worse. So having the gastroenterologist not help shed some light on the dietary struggle really depressed me.

The last few months have been a rollercoaster of stomach issues. Running my life. I need some guidance. Or at least someone who understands! I wasn't really sure which board to post this on... So I chose this one. I hope that's ok. Anyhow. I'm really glad to have found this place! 😊
