insanely bad gas pains?

I think that's what I have. I have pain on my right side under my ribs. It hurts more depending on how I move. It really hurts a lot but isn't constant and is keeping me home from something important this afternoon. I'm also burping a ton. Do these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? I took pepto which did nothing. Now I'm going to drink some fennel tea and lie down.

I have had this same problem many times through the years. I have had the pain so bad I couldn't stand up straight and it has kept me home.
Usually I lay down for a while and the pain eventually goes away. It always feels better to me to be able to stretch out.

So far Pepto, Mylanta, and fennel tea and feeling just as crappy. Trying to just lie around and not panic. So far so good on that front.

Have you tried GasX. I find that sometimes they work & sometimes they don't, but always worth a try.  Hope you feel better soon.

Sorry about all the pain, but it sounds very familiar. I just had an abdominal ultrasound because of pains like that - they thought it might be my gallbladder, but all is well. This has happened so many times, I don't know what I keep having it checked - just get scared, I guess. The truth, I think,is our crazy, spazzy, colons get kinked and gas gets trapped in there.
A heating pad helps me, plus stretching as much as I can, massaging that area, lying down and pulling my knees up - everything but standing on my head. At least you are burping - that's a good sign - now you just need to start "farting" too!

advice from a doctor-try mylicon and heat and if this doesn't help get checked by your doctor tomorrow-could be gallbladder

I'm a fan of Rolaids Multi-symptom, it helps break the gas up to let it come out easier!! The stretching is also a good idea, I think I remember Heather posting some yoga poses to help get it out. I'm also best friends with my heating pad! Good luck and hope you feel better soon!
