I was on Depo Provera for about 2 yrs, then found out I had endometriosis, so was on Lupron for 6 mths. The lupron was all out of my system as of early December. So I haven't had a period in almost 3 yrs. I just started my first "post-drug" period on Friday. It's been excruciating!! Everything from my waist down hurts! All of my joints, hips, knees, everything. It's painful just to walk. I remember periods being like this occasionally before I went on Depo, but it was only 2-3 times. Does anyone else experience this? Is it something I should be concerned about or call the Dr about?

I also have endometriosis and during my periods I do have horrible pain that shoots all the way down my legs.

However, Lupron is an incredibly toxic drug and does cause bone loss, so I'd recommend getting a bone density scan to see if it caused any damage.

I have sister in law who had similar troubles. Without getting too personal, did you ever have the endometrosis removed? She had a procedure done to remove it and always felt better afterwards, but it always came back. And then she'd have the procedure done again. I don't believe it's something that ever really goes away- so your pain can continue. I don't want to scare you, but after having her 3 children and being in her early 40's- last year she had a per. that was so bad she went to the emerg. room because of the amount of bleeding. She ended up having a partial hysterectomy because they told her it would continue. She only chose this option because she knew she was done having children. I'm not encouraging self-diagnosis, but I would see a doctor and don't take "it's nothing" as an answer!
