Hi friends. So, I posted last week in another post about having the stomach flu. Not a fine time when you already have IBS. After the stomach flu, I got a pretty nasty virus with lots of congestion and even a bit of a fever. yesterday, I lost my voice. (I am a teacher and about 2/3 of the class is music based...not easy with no voice!). Last night I felt great, minus not being able to talk...I thought I was finally getting over the virus and then BAM! This morning I woke up and spent 3 hours throwing up....what the **@@??!! I don't know if it's another bug or what, but this is miserable! I know little kids carry all sorts of germs, but I've been working there for 6 months and was hoping my immunity was built up better than this. I feel miserable and JUST got my period on top of everything. Some of you might remember I've had a horrible time with my period...aka I bled for like 3 1/2 months...and this is my first 'real' period since then.
So alas...I'm in bed. My husband brought me the computer and a sleeve of saltines before he left for work...and I believe I'll be staying here all day. Just me, bad tv, my bucket (just in case) and hopefully my cat will come say hello.
What a day... blah

Here's some {{{{hugs}}}}. So sorry you are not feeling well.

Here's some funnies to bring a smile to your face today. Get well soon!

1. Jack was watching his Mom breast feeding his new baby sister. After a
while he asked: "Mom why have you got two? Is one for hot and one for cold
milk?"

2. Melanie asked her Granny how old she was. Granny replied she was so old
she didn't remember any more. Said Melanie, "If you don't remember you must
look in the back of your panties. Mine say five to six."

3. Steven hugged and kissed his Mom goodnight. "I love you so much, that
when you die I'm going to bury you outside my bedroom window."

4. Brittany had an earache and wanted a painkiller. She tried in vain to
take the lid off the bottle. Seeing her frustration, her Mom explained it
was a childproof cap and she'd have to open it for her. Eyes wide with
wonder, the little girl asked: "How does it know it's me?"

5. Susan was drinking juice when she got the hiccups. "Please don't give me
this juice again," she said, "It makes my teeth cough."

6. Danni stepped onto the bathroom scale and asked: "How much do I cost?"

7. Tammy was with her mother when they met an elderly, rather wrinkled woman
her Mom knew. Tammy looked at her for a while and then asked, "Why doesn't
your skin fit your face?"

8. Mark was engrossed in a young couple who were hugging and kissing in a
restaurant. Without taking his eyes off them, he asked his dad: "Why is he
whispering in her mouth?"

9. Clinton was in his bedroom looking worried. When his Mom asked what was
troubling him, he replied, "I don't know what'll happen with this bed when I
get married. How will my wife fit in?"

10. James was listening to a Bible story. His dad read: "The man named Lot
was warned to take his wife and flee out of the city but his wife looked
back and was turned to salt." Concerned, James asked: "What happened to the
flea?"

That sucks. Hopefully this will be the end. I'm glad you're doing the right thing by staying home. I think teachers sometimes forget that it's OK to stay home when you're sick. Rest, get better. Otherwise, you're just going to go back weakened and it will drag on.
Hugs, Allie.
