It's probably better to ask this question on the Eating for IBS board. You can also do a search there because I think digestive advantage has been discussed before.

I'm using a GNC capsule, Multi Enzyme Formula. It's wheat, gluten, dairy, sugar, soy and sodium free. It works great for me. I notice a major difference when I don't take it, especially at dinner. It has nine enzymes and acidophilus.

Guar gum is the same as Acacia fiber according to all the things that I looked up about acacia. It's even in Altoids.

I use Xanthamum gum in my wheat free baking without any issues.

I use Olive and Canola oil for cooking. I think that the amount is more important for IBS than the type. High fat doesn't sit well with me at all not matter if it's olive oil or any other type. My guts will roll.

Digestive Advantage is a great product and does exactly what it says it will do. I suffered with IBS for three years until I tried the Digestive Advantage-Irritable Bowel Syndrome caplets. I take them twice a day, once in the morning with breakfast and once in the evening with dinner. I order mine from Amazon.com. If you have questions, you can email me at racyspyder@hotmail.com. Put IBS in the subject line.
