Good luck. I know how difficult it is to work towards something and then find your health is letting you down.

Do your best and you'll be amazed how adreneline gets you through. I recently ran a whole 5K even though I had D before and immediately after the run.

Yes, I made it!

I completed the 10K in 1 hour 12 minutes, 49 seconds. I am soo happy! I had hoped initially to do it in 1hr 15 but on account of the lack of training last week I really thought that it would take me a lot longer.

I walked about 800m of every km and jogged 200, so I suppose you could say that I ran 2K and walked 8. Still, my average speed was 7.2km/h which is pretty good. I am very tired now.

P finished it in 59 mins. I am so proud of him Neither of us has done one of these before so it is a big deal for us.

Think I might feel a bit sore tomorrow!

Congratulations, Sinead, that's awesome!! It sounds like you did really well, P too!
I think an hour and 12 minutes sounds well fast, you must have been walking pretty quick!
Congrats to P too for doing it in under an hour, that's brilliant.

Do you think you'll do another one now that you've got the first one under your belt?

Congrats again!
