My wedding dress cost $30 (wore my mom's with a little alteration), my bridesmaid dresses were made (my sisters are 4'10" and 5'2" respectively) and they cost close to $300! Expensive material and we had someone else sew the dresses. I swear, when one of my sisters gets married I better have best bridesmaid dress ever!

Score! on the wedding dress. I could have worn my mother's. It only would have had to have been shortened and cleaned. I had my wedding dress made. I'm 5' 2" and weighed 100 lbs at the time. Looked ridiculous in the puffy beaded lacey garbs. Went with a simple sheath with a row of lace at the neckline.

Wow Jenny that really was a bargain.
My wedding dress cost many multiples of $30!! The girls' dresses are only costing $120 which I think is pretty good )and half what they were for sale for in the shops which is even better!)

Anyone got wedding pics to post?

I love weddings. Your hubby (and you too but not so much) looks so young back then! Wow. LOVE your wedding hair.

Everyone's seen mine, haven't they?

Thanks. I guess we were fairly young, I was 22 and he was 23, but we both get carded all of the time anyway. And thanks about the hair. I found a picture in a magazine that I wanted recreated- in the magazine they used a fake piece of hair for the braid with the pearls. However, I have so much hair they could do it with my real hair!! I have a little bit less now, but it grows really fast!

..for sharing these pics, they are amazing, the dress looks fabulous on you and your hair (as Linz already said) is fabulous.

Love your flowers too. And your location under the trees, wow. In Ireland our marriage laws are very restrictive and you can only get married in a religious building or a registry office, so I am jealous at that!

Thanks for posting these! I think I missed them the last time around. I love your dress and hair... is your engagement ring a sapphire? It looks like a dark stone. Mine is, I thought diamonds were boring!
