Good luck with the weigh in, Shell!

I'm reporting early today since I am probably leaving early. Happy Easter, all - and I will be back Monday

breakfast - cream of wheat w/soy milk and raisins, OJ w/ fiber, mint tea (354)
snack - apple (81), UFO beverage (155)
lunch - PB&J on WW (312)
snack - i may have some baby carrots (68)
dinner - plan to get a sub or something since my fridge is bare! (~500)
dessert - hopefully I can resist!

excercise - 20 min on elliptical w/5 min each walking warm up and cool down. Crunches and ball excercises. Burn about 200 cal.

Total food cals ~1500-200=1300 seems a little low so maybe I will let myself have dessert!

I had a lovely day today. We had a lazy morning in, went to lots of garden centres and finally found something to make our raised beds for the vegetable patch with. We then took Lucy for a nice evening walk where she made a new friend about her age and they had a long play together.

B - crumpet and marmite (my favourite)
L - mushroom soup and an english muffin
D - Pasta and homemade tomato and vegetable sauce

Snacks - 1 biscuit (yes only 1) and some sweets (bad catherine - they always make me feel ill).

Exercise - Walked dog and dug veggie patch

Breakfast: Rice Krispies with chocolate soy milk

Lunch: small roll with tuna, corn, mayo, tomato

Dinner: YUMMY salmon with lemon and parsley sauce (I'll post the recipe) brown rice, leeks and tomatoes in balsamic vinegar

Snacks: Luna Bar; UFO- Mars chocolate egg

Water: 80oz

Activities: Went to gym- 10 mins fast rowing, 20 mins tough program on bike, did 8km (5 miles); treadmill walked at 5.5 km/ for 15 mins; walked a lot of the way home too, did some gardening and housework. Total burned: 391

Total Calories consumed= 2209
BMR + Activities - Food = Consumed
2308+391-2209 =490 (target is 500)

So 10 over budget despite all that exercise. Shouldn't have had the mars egg, or should have had fruit instead of the luna and I would have been OK.

Feeling slightly demotivated, was very excited earlier having gone to the gym.

Tamara- found out that my viscount mint biccies had 88 cals not the 56 I was counting I read the wrong pack

B: usual but with raisins again 475
snack: usual 280
lunch: sweet onion chicken teriyaki sub, baked chips and a peppermint patty 645
snack: pears and pistachios (what led to the trouble ) 200
dinner: eaten very gingerly, salmon-wasabi sandwich, rice and baby carrots between 5 and 8 -3 mugs of tea! 575

Exercise: 35 minutes heavy treadmill AM and weights and ball exercises PM (I watch Jeopardy while I exercise in PM. Anyone a Jeopardy fan?)
Don't have the energy to add up the cals. I am sure it is fine. Since I had D today I might get a good reading on the scale tomorrow- that is awful! Let you know.

cals= 2175

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

Better than yesterday, at least…

9am:
Banana Oatmeal (120 calories)

12noon:
1 FF Turkey Hotdog (45 calories)
1 Piece of Potato Bread, as a bun (70 calories)
Mustard

3pm:
2 AD Brownies (262 calories)

6pm:
Instant Rice (190 calories)
1 Egg Beater (30 calories)
1 Tbsp Soy Sauce (15 calories)
1 small spoonful of Sauce made from Mayo, Soy Margarine, and Lemon Juice (~10 calories)
1 small spoonful of cooked carrots and squash, cut up in tiny bites—That was my first consciences attempt at reintroducing veggies, lol. Boy, they tasted good!
(All of the above stirred in the rice)
2 Pieces of Fresh-baked Sourdough (87 calories)

9pm:
Lil' Dreamers Soy Ice Cream Sandwich—Chocolate tonight, as a note, I like the Vanilla ones better (100 calories)

Total: 929 Calories

Well, better than yesterday, I'll keep working at it. Quite rumbley and gassy tonight, directly after dinner. Have to figure out about that, maybe it was the veggies.

NO LOSS NO GAIN AGAIN (So that is still a total of 70 lost since May 28th)

I have already reached my FIRST goal that was to lose 40 pounds by Fall Sprawl! My SECOND goal was to lose an additional 20 for a total of 60 by Fall Sprawl.... which I did. My THIRD goal was lose another 20 for a total of 80 by January 31, 2005...but that did not happen....

So, I now have a NEW goal... I want to lose an additional 23 for a total of 90 pounds by April 30, 2005.....

I will be starting with my Personal Trainer on April 9th, #1 goal is weight loss!

BMR 1724 + exercise 367 = 2091 - 350 = 1741 food budget

Pre-breakfast: 2 tea biscuits (32)
Breakfast: oatmeal w/ banana (244)

AM Snacks: crispix (110), jello (90), 2 tea biscuits (32)

Lunch: tuna-veggie pasta salad (364), slice of bread (70)

PM Snacks: more crispix (160), saltines (60), half pita (60), large gumdrop (45)

Dinner: baked chicken breast (142), herbed baked potatoes (170)

Dessert/Late Snacks: 2 slices Norwegian Apple Pan Pie w/o the nuts (250)

Drinks: 5 cups teeccino w/ stevia & nondairy creamer (50), 3 glasses water = 80oz

Food & drinks total: 1879

Activity:
45 min shoveling frozen snow and breaking up ice = 259
45 min hatha yoga = 108 (I did yoga 2 days in a row! I'm excited! Hehe.)

I weighed in this morning, and I was back at 125. (Woohoo!) So obviously my problem was pill-related water retention and not actual weight gain - this was my first month on the bc pill, I had no idea it would do that... now I know.

I no longer have any idea what I'm doing calorie-wise. Haha. I figure I'm going to just figure up my BMR every day as a general guideline... I really don't necessarily care if I meet it or not, but having a guideline and counting helps stop me from binging all day & eating 5000 calories - which is really my goal, I don't want to go back there.
