NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENT

I was told by a gastro specialist to start drinking nutritional supplements over 6 months ago due to extreme weight loss. After reading your book, I am now wondering if the supplements are doing more harm than good. The main ingredients are water, sugar(sucrose) and corn syrup. Do you recommend I continue to drink the supplements or do you think they may be contributing to the ongoing problem of my IBS? My weight has stabelized and I plan on trying your advice to eat only the soluable foods for a few days and see if I can get my IBS under control. I just wonder if I should continue the supplement at the same time.

If your weight has stabilised, then you don't want to be drinking all that sugar! A SFS would help your IBS way more.

Btw, what else is in there to make them worthwhile?

MY WEIGHT IS MAINTAINED BECAUSE OF THE SUPPLEMENTS. I BOUGHT HEATHERS BOOK AND I AM TRYING TO DO WHAT IS SAYS TO DO BUT I AM HAVING EVEN MORE PROBLEMS THAN I DID BEFORE. RICE AND POTATOES JUST BLOW ME UP LIKE A BALLOON. AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO DECIDE HOW MUCH FIBER AND WHAT KIND TO TAKE. DR.S ARE NO HELP AT ALL.
