Thanks Bevrs,
Will give it a try. Like you I get nervous in social situations in fact in quite a few situations. Right now am coping with my mother who has Alzheimers and is now in a nursing home. It's hard that she doesn't know I'm her daughter but because she thinks I treat her well tells me she loves me anyway. She doesn't remember my name anymore either. It's hard seeing someone you love go through this, and seeing my dad so lonely without her. He sees her everyday and brings her by to see me. This website has helped me so much as well as all of you.
Thanks so much! Need all the help I can get.
Pat

I see you mentioned chewing Equalictin like a Tums. I've only used it once so far to try to stop an attack but I also drank a glass of water as it said to on the box. Is that unnecessary?? It's hard to drink a glass of water when you are cramping.

Hi Bevrs. Did this lady happen to mention WHAT her diet was? Just curious.

No, she didn't. I wish I had spent more time with her to find out what she eats now versus what she ate when she was on her meds and before she got it into remission. I just may have to make another trip down there for more boby bath.....

Gosh, I don't know, because I always have a water bottle with me wherever I go. I'm constantly trying to get that stuff down me (the water, not the Equalactin).

I know what you mean about not being able to drink the water when you're cramped up. You know, come to think of it, I DO recall the last time I took it (with my Donnatal) when I was at home and having severe cramps -- I didn't take any water with it. Hmmm.... interesting ....

Tell me, CrampGirl, how did it work for you? Did you take anything else with it? Were you cramped up, or in a stressful situation? Did it help?

BTW, how are your crafts coming along? You should see my picket fence flag! WOW, it came out GREAT; I love it. Hubby and I are fighting over where to hang it in the new house; I say it's going over the mantel, he says over the bed.

It'll go over the mantel.

Pat,
Same thing happened with my mom. Her mother couldn't remember her name. It really broke my mom's heart.

Not sure what made me cramp. Probably too much fat (mayo for lunch with my tuna sandwich and on my arti for dinner). I also had a chicken breast with no skin for dinner so nothing there , no stress involved. I took one equalactin, a beano & a 1/2 valium when the cramps hit & had a glass of citrucil before dinner. I continued to have 3 hrs of cramping but no "D". No D is nice but if I could choose, I'd choose NO PAIN! I seem to be having more attacks & C, which means longer cramp sessions, since starting the additional soluable fiber. I'm glad I know more of which foods to watch out for but for me, the add'l soluable fibre plugs me up and any insoluable (along with fats) gives me attacks. You should take a picture of your picket fence flag and post it. I'm still craftin away. I'll just have to keep trying different things till I come up with something that works. I think my adhesions play a major part in being blocked, like with rice. Every stinking time I have rice (left over rice tends to get harder) I get completely blocked and end up vomiting from pain after 3-6 hrs.
