A friend of mine cooked a vegetarian dinner and intstead of minced meat he used minced quorn when he made the meatballs. They both looked like and tasted like the real thing! Now in going to try to make home made quorn lasanga.
My friends wife told me that the quorn hamburgers also taste like real meat.

Try it it's really good!

Fia, I have no idea what quorn is, but I had to respond for one reason: when I saw your picture, I almost jumped up in shock. You look AMAZINGLY like me when I was 40 years younger! I couldn't believe it -- I just stared at your picture, looking at an old picture of ME! WOW.

Check out my picture -- you can see what you'll look like 40 years from now. ...... I'm so sorry.

Hey guys,
I was just talking about this the other day in the Living Room. Quorn is made out of mycoprotein, which is sort of like a mushroom derivative, but you actually don't want to know the process to make it (it sounds gross, but the stuff is yummy). It's much like our friends Boca, Veat, or Morningstar... only when I was in England they didn't have the last three, pretty much Quorn and Linda McCartney were it. That could be the case in Sweden as well. They've got all sorts of products, but the only ones that stand out to me are the fillets, which are really good and sort of taste like breaded fish or chicken, and the luncheon meat, which you can't get in America. Other than that they've mostly got the same stuff as the others, and then it's just personal preference. I generally still like Morningstar Crumbles best and Veat chicken pieces.

I read that post earlier and my first thought was "wow that must be how they spell corn in Sweden"

If Fia was holding a Coach purse in her picture that would be a more accurate picture of Bev in her younger years!

P.S. you both look great!

Hey - I remember quorn coming up in the past. You can check their website www.quorn.com to find out about it and where you can buy it.

So Quorn didn't bother either of you? Because I was checking out their website the other day and noticed that they're 70% INsoluble fiber. That sounds a little scary to me...
