Is all animal dairy not tolerated? I have eliminated all dairy but have seen information on other websites that talk about goat products being tolerated better for dairy sensitive people. I am missing cheese the most and would appreciate any tasty substitute suggestions.

No dairy of any kind on this Eating for IBS diet;Even fat free and even if you take a lactase enzyme. The protein, even if cultured, can be a problem; It's in the book. Daiya brand cheddar alternative is really good without using too much of it because it's pretty flavorful due to the "inactive" yeast, like the yeast in bread for those worried about gas, because baking deactivates it, per yeast packaging.

Thanks for your reply. I looked at a vegan cheese today in Walmart and it has caisen and whey so off limits. I am over looking at what I can't have and enjoy what I can eat. Feeling better is so worth it. Thanks again.

Since you're celiac, did you see my question on Gluten Free Creation's white bread variety?;I've had some, it's pretty dang good..The fat to total calories is much lower on the package-21%;Company to update online content. I have my protein and homemade silken lite tofu mayo fat content pretty low so hopefully bread fat should be ok for the sandwich being the first thing eaten in a meal;Especially if not a high stimulant for some. Gluten free bread is pretty expensive as it is, so shipping sends it sky higher..Taste is worth trying though.
