Hi Me and my mom ate at the Olive garden about a month ago. They waitess was so nice I ask for breadsticks without butter and I can't have tomatoe sauce so I just got noodles with some grilled chicken,carrots,squash and mushrooms and it was pretty good! made me a little gassey but I think if I would of took the beano I would of been fine. Not saying I would rather of had what my mom was having instead. It look so good but I can't touch tom sauce with a ten foot pool.

I don't know if it's still on their menu, but they used to serve a primavera-type pasta that had the pasta, some veggies and chicken broth. (It wasn't soup, though.) I have to stay away from everything else there.... oh well.

I'm confused...I thought whole wheat was a no-no for IBS people. I guess everyone is different when it comes to what we can tolerate. I love Olive Garden but really afraid to try it again. If I do, maybe I could get the bread stix without butter, some kind of grilled chicken and non-cream type soup. On second thought, why bother unless my husband wants to eat there. It's hard to resist their lasagna!

Whole wheat is not necesarily a no no, it just needs to be eaten carefully with a sf base.

olive garden uses a lot of processed junk in their food- which is why so many people are addicted to it- i personally enjoy homestyle italian rastaurants where they can control what goes into the dishes
