A question about egg yolk

I was wondering about eggs. Now with me, I get gas/stinking burps if I eat eggs w/ the yolk by themselves (ex: egg salad, fried eggs, hard boiled, etc.)

Is it safe to use the yolk in baking? Aside from the cholesterol issue, I don't see why not. I am hoping y'll can fill me in.

Well... I think I'll have to give that one a "that depends".

Heather advises avoiding egg yolks, generally speaking, because of the comparatively high fat content. They're considered a trigger food, which means they should be avoided completely.

If you're talking about a recipe that contains more than 1 egg, you'll want to substitute whites or Egg Beaters to make the fat level better for IBS.
