Right now I use Miralax and I really like it. Before, I went on Miralax I would use MOM maybe once every couple of months not a daily thing.

I'm finally where I only really need to take Miralax once to twice a week.

Wish I had a REAL answer for you but as a funny When I get C (which is very seldom since I suffer from D) I used to eat burger king or taco bell. I don't know what it is about those particular restraunts but they ALWAYS made me go. Of course now I know better.

Haha thanks for the advice! Yea Taco Bell used to do it for me too..but now I think my C has gotten so bad that doesnt even work anymore. It is funny that you say that because I used to eat Frosted Mini Wheats in the morning and that would usually work. The funny things that we figure out!!haha

Read Heather's info on C here so you know how dangerous laxatives/stimulants can be. Fiber supplements and lots of water or tea is best to try. Occassional use of the mildest, stimulant free meds may be ok. I occassionally use Philip's chews (chocolate form of the liquid MOM). Magnesium is the safest. Some people here like to use suppositories. Stay away from the correctols and the like as they are very harsh.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

Stimulant laxatives are hugely counterproductive and just cause more problems than they solve. They're habit-forming and once you get addicted to them, you won't be able to go without them. Scary!

Your best bet is to work with the fiber supplements, IBS diet guidelines for eating insoluble fiber foods, and plenty of liquids.
