Can anyone recommend a tasty snack that I can have in the evening when I get hungry that doesn't mean I wake up with discomfort and a stomach like a pregnant hippo or is it better just not to eat at all after a certain time I long to wake up with a flat stomach and be able to wear a skirt/trousers that aren't 2 sizes to big to accommadate my tum

Hi Beck - welcome to the boards!

You can have a light snack in the evening. I wouldn't eat right before going to bed, because you really don't want to lie down right after eating so you can digest better. Do you have Heather's books? If so, there's some snacks in there or check out the Recipe Exchange board.

Hi Beck
If I'm peckish in the evening I'll have a few snack-a-jacks, or I'll have some Rice Krispy cake - made to Heather's recipe of mini marshmallows, rice Krispies and 2 tblsp oil.
Otherwise perhaps a couple of Dutch Crispbakes with some sliced chicken.
