As of June 2006, Glaxo Smith Kline, the maker of Citrucel, has voluntarily recalled Citrucel fiber powders, including the orange sugar-free and orange regular varietes. According to the manufacturer, small metal wire strands were found in production, and the Citrucel recall is a precautionary measure. Citrucel is expected to be back on store shelves in September 2006.
