No problem with the product
My problems are with the delivery - hold up and cost in our customs. These 2 bags now cost me £50 (they used to cost me £25) and the last twice I have incurred £13 costs and I just cannot afford it anymore so will not be purchasing any more. I am very sad and do not know what it will do to my guts but I cannot afford it anymore especially as I have been long term sick and our government are now stopping giving us benefit.

Heather says: Hello Patricia, Thank you for your comments. We are thrilled to hear you are enjoying the Tummy Fiber Acacia Senegal! I am so sorry you did not find the speed of delivery satisfactory. Normally orders to foreign countries take 3-7 business days. Sometimes, however, foreign orders are held up at Customs. It is very frustrating for us as well because it seems to be totally random as to whether Customs will hold an order and for how long. We have customers that order from us regularly for years without any complications and then out of the blue one of their packages will be detained for weeks on end. It has been our experience that Customs can hold packages for 6-8 weeks sometimes. This doesn't happen to all packages, but occasionally especially with larger orders, it can happen. A delay like this is especially likely to happen when there are Customs fees due upon delivery. Sometimes orders will be held at the local post office, awaiting customer pick-up and payment of the Customs fees. This has actually happened in the past without the post office ever notifying the customer that their package was being held. So, you could check and see if your local post office does have the order for you. If things are held up in Customs, we just have to wait until they're finally processed through. All of their contact will be with you, so we never even know if Customs is holding a package until the customer passes this info along to us. If you still have not received your order please let us know. We can provide you with tracking information right away. My apologies, Joanna

I was at my witts ends with ibs
I was told of Acacia Fiber and started to research it and found your site. I purchased a pouch and started the day I received it. (delivery was very quick) I am 2 1/2 weeks into using the product. I take 3/4 tsp in the morning and 3/4 tsp in the evening. I am starting to notice an improvement with how I feel. I will continue to add 1/4 tsp at a time until I am feeling good!! Thank you!

For about 28 years now, I've suffered IBS with severe constipation. I've been miserable all of my adult life. Your product seems to be helping, however, during my PMS phase, I still missed a couple of days movement. Hopefully, it's just because I haven't been taking the product long enough yet. But, the Fennel tea helped tremendously with the bloating, and gas---as there was hardly any which was a huge relief, and something very new and exciting for me.

Heather says: Hello Andrea, I am so sorry you have not noticed results from the Tummy Fiber yet. Depending on your symptoms, it may take several weeks to reach a resolving daily dose of the Tummy Fiber. Taking too much acacia too fast can cause increased gas and bloating. Acacia is one of the lowest gas-forming fibers out there and going slow makes the gas issue totally avoidable. Please be patient because this really does work. We recommend starting with ½ teaspoon twice a day (daily dose of 1 teaspoon). You can split the daily dose up as many time as you like throughout the day, just divide it by 2 or 3 depending on the frequency you prefer. Try to increase the dose every 4th day or so by a teaspoon (add this to the daily dose). If you get increased gas and bloating by jumping the dose up by a teaspoon, try cutting this in half. Some people with IBS are so sensitive they have to go up at ¼ teaspoons every 4th day. Keep stepping up the dose every 4th day or so until you find a dose that resolves your constipation and/or diarrhea. Constipation is usually resolved with a daily dose of 4-5 tablespoons/day and diarrhea/loose stools usually resolves at a lower dose of 1-3 tablespoons/day. You shouldn't take more than 5 tbsp/day. The maintenance dose is different for each person depending on their specific symptoms. Dietary changes are often necessary to make lasting changes. In the beginning until you stabilize, it works best to take the acacia before each meal to minimize the effect of trigger foods in the meal and to calm the intestines before the food arrives. You may need to keep increasing your daily dose to notice more results. I will also personally email you to continue this conversation if you have further questions. All the best, Joanna

When I order the powder, it arrives always in a week or 9 days. This time I waited three weeks. I think this is not your fault, but maybe the delay was caused by the import office. I could not see at the packet that it was there nevertheless. I never ordered two ones till now, that may be the reason.

But, if you want to use the fiber in hot or cold beverages, there is an easy trick for that. Just add the Tummy Fiber to your empty glass, then add only enough room temperature liquid to dissolve it. Once it is liquefied, you can add boiling hot or ice cold liquids to fill the glass and it will be fine. Best, Heather

I do feel once I started using the soluble supplement I have noticed less gas episodes . But I still do not see complete relief from the constipation that I have weekly. I have increased daily dosage and do see some improvements and will continue with this process.

Our database shows you ordered on 1/9 and your order shipped on 1/10, so I don't know why there was a delay with receiving the items. Normally priority mail takes 2-5 days. Please do continue with the hypnotherapy program. For some people it takes the full 100 days to see results, especially if your IBS has been severe and chronic for a long time. But if you follow the entire program the odds are very high it will help you tremendously. For the Tummy Fiber, make sure you have started with a low dose of just ½ teaspoon twice daily, but that you continue to gradually increase your dose. Diarrhea can take 1-3 tablespoons per day to resolve, and constipation can take 3-5 tablespoons per day. But it can take some time to gradually get your doses up to these levels, and it does take some patience. I am so grateful for this product and the book The First Year. Because I live alone I stopped making salads and cooking vegetables not realizing that V-8 juice was not the same. Excellent results for my now 99 year old mom.
My mom has been in and out of the hospital with IBS type symptoms (ing nurse mentioned your product and how it had been helping her elderly mother, we ordered it right away. The results have been fantastic. She has occasional diarrhea but only because she eats too much chocolate and NOTHING like the problems before. We also started her on the Peppermint Oil capsules. She used to complained of pain in her stomach and we could not figure out why it hurt.. SInce she has been taking the capsules she no longer complains. Worked for me when nothing else did.

I've been using your products for several years and have been completely satisfied.
I take a T. in juice or tea before every meal. I mix it up in a insulated mug when going places. My doctor also has me mixing a probiotic with it. This plus taking Pancreaze before each meal. I've suffered with IBS-D almost all my life alternating with IBS-C. Sometimes I've gone months and years with out an episode and then something would set me off. Usually fresh fruits and vegetables plus stress. Still have to be careful what I eat...not fresh fruits and vegetables, watch my fats, etc.....getting plenty of rest. Getting tired seems to be a factor. When I had my gallbladder out about 14 years ago my IBS has been harder to maintain. I had taken Metamucil for years, switched to Citrucil, before finding your product online. I've used your fiber, teas, and your book. Right now I'm doing better than I have in two years. I've only had two episodes this month. Not sure what caused them. Oh, yes. I have used the hypnosis cd (3 times)...I forget the name...Dr. Michael seems to ring a bell. I have used Heather's Tummy Tea and Tummy Fiber for years. I was originally diagnosed with Celiac and IBS. I found Heather's site and started on the tummy fiber and fennel tea. Heather says: Hi WJ - I'm so sorry you aren't seeing better results from the Tummy Fiber. I do recommend starting with just ½ level teaspoon twice a day (daily dose of 1 teaspoon). You can split the daily dose up as many time as you like throughout the day, just divide it by 2 or 3 depending on the frequency you prefer. Try to increase the dose every 4th day or so by a teaspoon (add this to the daily dose). If you get increased gas and bloating by jumping the dose up by a teaspoon, try cutting this in half. Some people with IBS are so sensitive they have to go up at ¼ teaspoons every 4th day. Keep stepping up the dose every 4th day or so until you find a dose that resolves your constipation and/or diarrhea. Constipation is usually resolved with a daily dose of 4-5 tablespoons/day and diarrhea/loose stools usually resolves at a lower dose of 1-3 tablespoons/day. You shouldn't take more than 5 tbsp/day. The maintenance dose is different for each person depending on their specific symptoms. Dietary changes are often necessary to make lasting changes. In the beginning until you stabilize, it works best to take the acacia before each meal to minimize the effect of trigger foods in the meal and to calm the intestines before the food arrives. If you are unable to use the fiber or remain unhappy with it, by all means please do return it for a full refund. Best, Heather

I have not been diagnosed with IBS but started to have stomach issues when I did not eat a bland diet. I have had tests and so far nothing is wrong. It is very difficult however when you have to run to the ladies room a number of times during the day. I would say I have the symptoms of IBS-D. The first time I tried the fiber I took too much at once. I so wanted it to work. I then carefully took small amounts and gradually increased it to 1 tablespoon three times a day. If so, you can find some great tips for IBS-C here: http://www.helpforibs.com/footer/constipation.asp For the Tummy Fiber Acacia to work properly, it's crucial that you start with a low dose (1/2 teaspoon twice daily) and gradually increase to a dose high enough to resolve constipation (which may be 3-5 tablespoons a day). If you get gas or bloating, that would mean you increased your dose too quickly. It can take several weeks to gradually increase up to the dose you'd likely need to resolve constipation, and unfortunately you can't rush this. Tummy Fiber is not a drug or a laxative so it won't work overnight. I really feel for the constipation folks, as it takes some patience to start slowly, increase gradually, and eventually get your daily dose up high enough to resolve symptoms. A lower dose can't worsen constipation, but it won't resolve it, either. You may want to start over following these directions and see if you have better luck. Having the fiber at least twice a day - and you can have it more often - is also key, as you want to keep your gut filled with soluble fiber at all times. Heather says: Hello Bonnie, Thank you for your comments. When starting to take the Tummy Fiber, it is important to start with a low dose and gradually work your way up to a higer resolving dose. Taking too much acacia too fast can cause increased gas and bloating. Acacia is one of the lowest gas-forming fibers out there and going slow makes the gas issue totally avoidable. Please be patient because this really does work. We recommend starting with ½ teaspoon twice a day (daily dose of 1 teaspoon). You can split the daily dose up as many time as you like throughout the day, just divide it by 2 or 3 depending on the frequency you prefer. Try to increase the dose every 4th day or so by a teaspoon (add this to the daily dose). If you get increased gas and bloating by jumping the dose up by a teaspoon, try cutting this in half. Some people with IBS are so sensitive they have to go up at ¼ teaspoons every 4th day. Keep stepping up the dose every 4th day or so until you find a dose that resolves your constipation and/or diarrhea. Constipation is usually resolved with a daily dose of 4-5 tablespoons/day and diarrhea/loose stools usually resolves at a lower dose of 1-3 tablespoons/day. You shouldn't take more than 5 tbsp/day. The maintenance dose is different for each person depending on their specific symptoms. Dietary changes are often necessary to make lasting changes. In the beginning until you stabilize, it works best to take the acacia before each meal to minimize the effect of trigger foods in the meal and to calm the intestines before the food arrives. better than any fiber product I have ever taken!
Well nedless to say I have taken metamucil, yuck! plus it gives you gas and has additives that I don't like. This soluble fiber has started to help my severe constipation and I am soooo happy with it, I work out, drink tons of water eat all the right things, no meat, almond milk only and nothing helped untill I started taking this product.....thank you so much. I feel like a different person!

Best fiber product that I've tried.

I wanted to be sure I put up a review for Heather’s Tummy Fiber, because ever since I found their web site all those years ago, Heather and her products gave me back my life. Doctors were of absolutely NO HELP! They don’t care about it, they think it’s just in our heads, and offered no help. Lots of useless tests of course, but no help. Well, I’m here to tell you, it’s not in your head, it’s real. I was lucky, although I’ve suffered with IBS for decades, I only needed the Tummy Fiber to set my life back on course. That and everything she writes about IBS. She explained it all! I’ve taken that fiber every day of my life for 11 years, and it makes all the difference in the world. You have to try different amounts, along with a balanced diet, to see what works best for you, but after you find your sweet spot, you should be pretty much good to go. So wonderful to be able to travel again, so good to be able to eat out and not fear needing a restroom, desperately 30 minutes after you eat. I know every available bathroom in town. I once tried to quit taking Heather’s Fiber, and switched to one of the fiber solutions sold in the grocery stores, just for convenience! It took about 10 days, but the symptoms came roaring back. Won’t be making that mistake again. I have tried to get local places in Austin to carry it, but can’t get any interest (just like with doctors) So frustrating. Trust this product, it is worth EVERY penny, and worth ordering online-if you can’t get it in your town. Ibs under contol
I was suffering terribly with Ibs until I Discovered this wonderful product. I take it every day and the symptoms are under control. MY gastro internologist said his mother back in India uses a similar fiber and refuses to take medicine because it works. He told me to keep using it.
