August 12, 2004 - Conference Room Booked for the Sprawl
We have a meeting place now and we are pleased as can be with the arrangements that have been made. By consensus, we all agreed we needed a real meeting room - away from the crowds and hustle and bustle - to be able to spend some time to get to know each other. However, we had to pay for it, and you know the saying, "there's no such thing as a free lunch".
Our fabulous moderator Shell tirelessly approached this dilemma with the same enthusiasm as she has her diet, and came up with a winner. She talked to a great number of places, and got the best price and location for our group that was humanly possible. But of course it comes with a price.
Here is the scoop. We need, from all those attending, $25 each to help pay for the meeting room. There is no charge for your friends or family, so bring them along!!
It will be at the Imperial Palace on Saturday, October 16th at 10:00am.
We need 15 paying attendees just to break even. We hope a whole lot more of you can join us! This is a small price to pay considering the average cost per day that most people spend in Vegas on gambling, shows, hotels and eats. We know you will agree. The bad news is that 75% of it had to be paid up front, with the remainder being paid in September and October.
Since Shell had to secure this with her credit card, we feel it's only fair to pay her as soon as you can. There are a number of ways you can do this. The easiest way is through Paypal. Here is how you do it:
Go to www.paypal.com and click on "send money". If you don't already have an account you will need to open a FREE one. Then in order to send money, you just enter in Shell's email address, shell1970@aol.com, and the payment will go right to Shell.
If you prefer not to do it this way you can send a money order to Shell direct. Email Shell at shell1970@aol.com for her address.
If paying this all at once is a hardship, let us know and we can make arrangements for you to pay it over time. And for those of you who are thinking that you may not know if you're coming until last minute, don't worry. Just pay Shell when you join us in Vegas.
August 10, 2004 - Our Newest Moderator: Shell Marr!
We are truly blessed to have not only Shelly so active on this board, but also agreeing to help us out in aggressively finding and securing a meeting place. By agreement, she is now one of the Delirious Moderators of this board! We couldn't be happier and are in her gratitude for all the work she's done so far. We don't know what we would have done had she not jumped in and come to our rescue!!!
She has approached this task with the same enthusiasm and dedication she has given her diet -working her butt off to help us out! A huge thank you Shelly! You are one of a kind!!!
