Hey Rebecca,

Practicing yoga can help us with lots of different things including addictions. A lot of times, the things that we crave or are addicted to are due to chemical imbalance. Some are due to emotional imbalances and some are just unhealthyhabits that we pick up along the way.

Through practicing yoga we not only increase strength and flexibility in the body but we also learn to discipline and relax the mind. The practice of yoga help us to become more aware of our emotions and behaviors and help us to identify why we are reaching for an unhealthy Coke in the first place.

In order for yoga and meditation to be effective, it must be practiced consistently. The body and the mind are linked together.... as you said yourself that week that you were so relaxed you didn't even want a coke. Good for you!
