She did own Joy of Yoga, but sold it to another woman. It is my understanding that she was asked to leave because of a conflict in beliefs. She will not be teaching anywhere else, at least for now. Today was my last class and I'm sure going to miss her. I don't know enough about the situation to make an opinion, so I won't. I just know I'm going to miss her teaching. The new teacher is a member of S.O.U.L. I know so little about that I couldn't even tell you want it stands for (I'm sure you probably know) but being a Christian, I'm a little nervous about yoga as a belief system. Perhaps I am being narrow minded. I will probably try a class or two before making a decision. As you mentioned, the Laconia Athletic and Swim Club does offer some classes, but are very expensive.
