Hi back Bevrs! Yep, I use this for salad greens and for diping and for marinating and most especially for my beloved turkey wrap sandwiches (flat bread or tortilla, spread w/ dressing, julianned cucumbers fresh spinach or romaine lettuce core removed and low salt turkey breast all rolled up= lunch many many days of the week) If salt is a problem for you adjust the recipe to include higher quantities of the powdered seasonings instead of salts ie. the onion and garlic. That's the beauty of the mix, you can adjust it to your tastes and because you control what you mix it with you guarantee it will be "safe" for you to eat. This mix is super inexpensive to make and you won't want for that bottled stuff out of the store. Kree is right, every package of dressing and most dip mixes have some form of dairy inside and the premade ones in bottles- forget it.
