If you check out the FODMAP diet which is a diet that has clinically tested on large numbers of IBS patients you will see that some soy products are triggers. However, tofu is consider safe because of the way it is made. You can read more about the FODMAP diet in the first two links in my signature. Many people on this board use the FODMAP diet inconjunction with Heather's diet.

Some meats can be a problem. Heather recommends not eating pork or red meat. If you want to test it then eat it and wait 3-4 days to see if you have an ill effects. However, it is possible that you will not notice much but if you were to eat it regularly a cumulative effect can sit in and problems can occur.

You might get faster and more replies is you as non-recipe related food questions on the IBS diet board
