Sand

I've been feeling sort of whiny, in a "there's nothing to eat" way so this post was great for me. Not only did I enjoy looking back at what I used to eat - and finding some oldies I'd forgotten about - it inspired me to go through my recipe binder and list all the things in there I do eat - or could be eating if I wasn't so busy whining about how there's nothing to eat. Now that I've put this together, I'm going to print it out and stick it on my refrigerator for reference the next time I'm complaining that nothing sounds interesting for dinner.

Everything I list is on the Recipe Board and I've noted in brackets whose posted it. If there are any that look interesting and you can't find them with a Search, let me know and I'll find the link.

Hardly Even A Recipe BBQ Chicken and the variation I just posted using Emeril's Essence. I serve this with oven fries (recipe on Board) or with frozen French fries - some of them have a reasonable fat content. [Sand]

Tuna Puttanesca [Sand]

Eli's Asian Salmon [Sand]

Crumb-crusted tilapia, new potatoes, and asparagus [Sand]

Roasted Salmon with Shallot Grapefruit Sauce [Sand]

Shrimp with Garlicky Tomato Glaze [berky]

Garlic Shrimp Scampi [Sand but there are other shrimp scampi recipes on the Board]

Roasted Shrimp with Thousand Island Dressing [Sand]

Tuna and Artichoke Panini; this is a sandwich but it's fairly complex and so might make a nice summer supper [Sand]

Boiled Shrimp [Sand]

Ridiculously Easy Grilled Salmon [Sand]

Mussels in Mexican Beer; this is more work than I'd do normally but is a nice festive meal for a special occasion - and someone who loves mussels [Sand]

Greek Chicken Burgers; to do for - serve with Lemon Rice Pilaf [Kree]

Southwest White Chili; wonderful, quick, good with plain French or Italian bread, fabulous with Heather's Simple Sweet Cornbread [ShellMarr]

Turkey Maid-Rites; insanely good [Sand]

Another Ground Turkey Meatloaf; good for sandwiches, too [ShellMarr]

Alice's Meatloaf [Sand]

Barbara's Italian Spaghetti Sauce [Sand]

Peking Chicken/Turkey Burger [Kree]

Sloppy Joes; I think of these as a lunch dish but they're fairly complex and kids might like them for a main meal [HansSolo - now Yoda]

Sausage (sort of) Pizza [Sand]

Chicken Teriyaki; awfully good [AllieGator]

Crockpot Bourbon Breast of Chicken; fabulous [Bevvy]

Kid Friendly Super Yummy Chicken Nuggets [HanSolo - now Yoda]

Chicken with Plums, Ginger, and Soy; this is good with frozen peaches and apricot preserves but it is to die for with fresh plums and plum jam/jelly/preserves; you can make the sauce ahead which makes dinnertime easier [cailin]

Little Minnie's Chicken Paprikash; my husband would eat this three times a week; I serve it over noodles [Little Minnie]

Chinese Carry-Out Noodles [Sand]

Chicken Chutney Mustard; ridiculously easy [SharonMello]

Burgundy Chicken with Mushrooms [joanmarie]

Sicilian Chicken [Sand]

Incredible Basil Chicken Marinade [Sand]

Roman Style Chicken [Sand]

Oven Fried Honey Chicken [ShellMarr]

Crisply Balsamic Baked Chicken [ShellMarr]

Chicken Cacciatore Stoup [Sand]

Crockpot Chicken Stew [Kree]

There are also some recipes I haven't posted yet but will when I get a chance:

Chicken with Spiced Tomato Sauce
20-Minute Chicken
