Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | The Best Chocolate Cake ever!

I found this on the web and made it for my birthday last month and it was a hit my best freinds husbands loved it and is still talking about it. I made it again to take to a party and it was a huge hit! Enjoy!
Chocolate Cake
2 cups sugar
1-3/4 cups bleached flour
3/4 cups cocoa
1-1/2 tsp baking soda
1-1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk (rice, soy or unsweetned almond breeze)
3 egg whites (discard the yolks)
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce or pumpkin ( i used Pumpkin)
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water

Directions
Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Beat together the milk, egg whites, applesauce and vanilla; add to dry ingredients.
Add boiling water and beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. (The batter will be very thin.)
Pour into 13x9 baking pan coated with nonstick cooking spray.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

Frosting
4cups powder sugar
1/4 cup water
1 tsp of vanilla extract.
mix well and spread over cooled cake!
