Baking with Stevia?

Does anyone use Stevia in their baking instead of sugar? My mom has IBS and Diabetes so sugar and artificial sweetners need to be avoided. Stevia is ok to use, however, according to what I've read, it is tricky to bake with. So, I am wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks for using Stevia in baked goods.
