I made these today and they were very good, but I have some questions. When I was done mixing the batter was very thick. I had to "force" it to spread. I pushed it together with my fingers to cover the bottom of the pan. The batter was more like a bar cookie than a brownie. Is it supposed to be so thick? Also it didn't rise much. Maybe someone could tell me their thoughts on what might have happened. Thanks so much.
