Kinda achy this am. Plus DH has been in grumpy mood lately, don't know why. I have too, but I know why. Sunday was exactly one year since my last day of work. It was SO HARD to admit I was too sick to work. But I just couldn't do it anymore. I am so grateful we've been good little worker bees and saved enough money that we can afford it. But it's still a major life change, going from successful career woman with a brilliant 27 year work record, to a semi-invalid, invisibly disabled, nonworking person.
Even though it was the beginning of a cool new life, it was also literally the end of my life as I knew it. So I'm in mourning for my old life, the old me, the superachiever, super competent one that took care of everyone and everything. It's sad. It's GREAT TOO!! Staying home beats working ANY DAY! But it's still a huge mental adjustment. Oh, well. One day at a time, as they say.
