I am sorry you are having a hard time with this baseball thing. I know how cut throat some of these teams and coaches can be. When my boys were young they went through little league and my husband was coach and I was team mother. My husband always treated everyone equally and the kids always had a good time. But observing other teams,I have seen many things that made me cringe. Also hearing stories from my younger friends that have boys & girls playing now. The coaches actually have fist fights on the field and people make nasty comments and some get thrown out of the park. They seem to forget this is all supposed to be for fun!! It's gotten to be more of an ego thing.

My suggestion would be to try and see if your son can finish the season. Tell him not to let all these things bother him and especially not to let his temper get the best of him (he can't throw the bat). Maybe you could talk to the coach in private very calmly and tell him some of your feelings. If none of this works, and it is causing you and your son too much stress then let him quit. It's not worth it.
