Birth control and ibs       08/13/13 01:45 AM Edit Reply Quote erica57 Reged: 04/02/13 Posts: 1 Hi, I'm new to this forum, and wasn't really sure where to post this. I have had ibs for over two years now. I am convinced that my birth control pills are what is causing it. My symptoms started the same week I started taking birth control. I switched birth control pills and that didn't help. The only time I get relief is on my period week. I recently switched pills again and this new one seems even worse than before. So I am wondering if anyone has had similar experiences on the pill, and maybe which ones worked for you?I have taken necon, livora, and nuvaring. I'm worried that my only option is to go off it, but my boyfriend won't like that very much, and neither will my face(I have pretty bad acne with out the pill). Any suggestions?
