I am over sensitive to estrogen so I can't take it. I was treated in France for a number of years (they have over 100 kinds of bc pills available, while the US has something like 17).

The depo shot saved my life. No periods, no estrogen, no IBS-D 5-6 times a month (That's 60-72 days A YEAR I avoid IBS).

I waited for years for depo provera to become legal in the States, and it was worth it. I've had no periods since Aug '99 (I'm 38), and besides getting the munchies after I have the shot, 4 times a year, I've been hormone related migraine-free, and now own an expensive selection of white sheets and towels. I don't even THINK of my period anymore. Can you imagine that?

Your story is nearly identical to mine. I hope you find something that helps you. This was my solution and I've never looked back!!

Good Luck!
