Hi Everybody! Hope you are doing well. I came across an ad for an IBS-C research study in the local Hamilton paper and although my IBS has been doing pretty good (although I cheated a lot today and it reminded me that I shouldn't) my IBS was always D I thought I'd pass this on to you folks.

The ad says:
McMaster University Medical Centre and St. Joseph's Healthcare are currently conducting a clinical research trial to study the effects of an investigational medication for patients with IBS-C.

Eligible Patients:
-Male or Female patients age 18-65
-Have IBS with constipation for at least 3 months
-Are required to take medication for 4 weeks
-Be able to attend weekly visits at St. Joseph's Healthcare or McMaster University Medical Centre for the duration of the study (7 weeks)

For more information please call and speak with a clinical research nurse at:
McMaster University Medical Centre: 905-521-2100 ex. 73543 or
St. Joseph's Healthcare: 905-522-1155 ex 4287 or 3431

Things with me are going well. I've been busy back at school for the new semester and really enjoying it. I got accepted to all the law shcools I applied to but will most likely be going to Dalhousie in Halifax starting in September. The IBS has been pretty good and I've been exploring with more different foods that I can eat. I have been cheating a little more. Sometimes I get away with it, but other times (like today) my stomach reminds me why I shouldn't cheat. However, at least I'm not stuck in a small airplane with no bathroom!

Safe Eating!
