I've finally decided I've had enough, so I'm taking today off! My fibro's just getting worse, I've been so tired, sore, and spacey lately, I couldn't even pay attention in class yesterday afternoon, so I left early. My IBS is acting up as well, I'm so not stable right now, I've been having to take Immodium a lot lately, which stinks because I had to throw a box out in July because it had expired since I hadn't needed it! To me that was a small victory with my IBS! So I'm not going to campus today (skipping one class that I have a friend getting notes for me), and going to take care of me today. The only reason I'm leaving my apartment is a professor at Penn's whose lab I'm interested in for grad school got back to me late yesterday afternoon and wants to meet today. I want to get into Penn so badly for grad school that I'm not going to pass that up. Going to take the bus in instead of walk though, especially since it's raining.

Part of this day off is from reading a thing on chronicbabe.com . Someone on the EFI board recommended it a few months ago. It's a sorta blog managed by a woman with fibro and several other chronic illnesses I can't think of off the top of my head. Anyway, she had an entry the other day about how she has been avoiding acceptance that the fibro is a part of her, and her life coach suggested that the fibro was her body giving her signals to take care of herself, and her struggling with that idea. It really struck a cord with me, since I've been forcing myself to campus every morning for classes and work. I have a car wash on Saturday for my fraternity, which I've already told them I'm not washing any cars, I'll handle money and selling bottles of water sitting down either at a card table or in the hatchback of my roommate's SUV. If you want to read the entry I'm referencing, it's here: web page

Ok, Gracie wants breakfast, she's yelling and purring at me, so I should go feed her
