Update on my son       08/10/05 10:22 AM Edit Reply Quote BL Reged: 06/01/03 Posts: 3522 My son, who will be leaving for college in 10 days, decided to go to the out-of-state university afterall, like originally planned. Both it and the in-state one he was considering are both about 4 hours away, but this one is 2 1/2 times the cost!!! So my husband and I will be eating pork and beans for the next 4 years! Ha! He realized he had a good dorm, he likes his new roommate (he's been chatting with him onine) and he's already attended orientation at this school, so he will feel most comfortable there. He added an ROTC class which he had been wanting to try so he's excited about that! I can't believe my "baby" will be going away in less than 2 weeks! Our extra room is full of things we've bought him for his dorm room---and now we're just waiting for his Dell laptop computer to arrive. I am going to be an empty nester soon!
