My husband lost his wedding ring while working three months after we got married. Since we were poor college students at the time we couldn't afford to buy another one. A good friend of ours wife up and left him for no reason and he was going to throw his wedding ring into Lake Michigan. He asked my husband if he wanted it and 12 years later my husband still wears the ring. Can you believe I have never replaced his ring?
