But growing up in a situation like that is what builds character. Do NOT feel bad about your parents spending money on you, either. I used to feel like that til I realized that parents KNOW that kids will be expensive, they are the most expensive commitment they will ever make. Your parents probably get mmore joy out of seeing you master your guitar skills then to have some extra cash. I like Linz's idea, and also yours! maybe you can combine efforts with your parents, and offer to get rid of thier old stuff if you can keep part of the proceeds.
