I used part of my gift certificate (list that under my BEST PRESENT!) today to get an hour and a half massage with the BEST, Miss Annette. I asked her if she'd consider working on my abdomen because I was having a bad tummy day. Just the same old PAIN PAIN PAIN... I knew I wasn't that "backed up" because actually I've gone pretty well for me over the last few days, think the weird holiday eating actually helped that a little in some WEIRD unforeseen way. I'd figured it was gas or a spasm or who even knows anymore, in my head I still wonder sometimes??? So after getting me all relaxed on that WARM table she turns me over and tries working on my belly, and sure enough she finds the actual literal spot where it is just locked down in the worst spasm she's ever seen. I about came up off the table!!! But I didn't want her to stop either cause I thought MAYBE she could make it relax a bit. When she rubbed it out I felt pain radiate across my entire back and belly, it was the weirdest thing I've ever felt IN my life. She kept going on and on too, saying, "Honey, if you could feel what I'm feeling, you wouldn't wonder why your tummy hurts!!" She said it was such an obvious, intense spasm that was just throbbing like crazy. I can't say that she completely corrected the problem but for a while it felt better and I'm goign to try to have Eric do the same when it's bad like this. And keep pouring down the chamomile tea and other relaxants. I gave up on the anti-spasmodic drugs, they constipate me more and make me too sleepy to take care of my kids.
Well, just passing that along - we C'ers can have bad spasms as our main issue too. I attribute it to my twisted colon and God (literally) only knows what else, I have no clue anymore. I'm waiting for my referral to UNC to be cleared by insurance, praying it will be.
