Stress is much fun isn't it Alot of aparments will have move in specials that don't require first and last month rent just a small security deposit. That wasn't very concederate of your land lord though. And hey that is what friends are for to help you out when you need. It will be ok. This could all end up being one of best things you never know. Boy when did I start sounding like my mom.
