Pain management - no dice

Haven't been on the site for some time. After 4 years of dealing with this I finally went to my GP and told him that I give up. I asked for pain management as I would rather be high and comfortably numb than in pain. I was refused. He claims that pain management is area specific (back, neck, knee, etc) and that opiates would work for me for a short time but I owuld need more and more until they wouldn't work anymore. So, legal drugs are out. Booze is out (trigger). Medical pot is legal in my state but expensive and complicated. I am halfway through my life (maybe) and I am angry, angry, angry. Can't wait to see what I am like in 10 years or so. I know that I am going to snap. It is just a matter of time. If it wasn't for my wife and kids I would have by now. Just had to rant.
