I am new on here as far as posting too. I have problems in the morning with my stomach. The only thing I have been able to eat is jello (mainly) and yogurt (sometimes). I have gotten the Acacia fiber just last week and I add it to either of these or hot tea. They seem to be helping. I am definitely not great right now, but I can see the improvment. So I will eat something like this before I even set foot out of my cottage in the mornings. About the time I get to work which is 8:00 AM I mostly feel able to eat something else which usuall for me is oatmeal. Then about 10:00 or 10:30 I will have a small snack which might be a graham cracker. Usually by lunch time I feel fine and have soup or a sandwich (plain as in meat and bread) and sometimes a piece of fruit and maybe some tea with the fiber. I recently made greek chicken pita sandwiches and I was fine with that. I may eat another snack about 3:00 and then dinner which varies. Lately its been a lighter dinner and a small snack. If later after this I am still hungry I will have a cup of tea with ACacia fiber. I'll have peppermint if I am feeling good with my tummy or if my acid reflux is being a nasty neighbor, I will have chamomile or fennel tea with sugar. I only really get in bad trouble when I start eating the things I know are bad like cheese sticks, regular milk instead of rice, or fatty/fried foods. Thats when old IBS weilds its ugly face. Then it takes me a few weeks to get my system back to where it needs to be. This diet is absolutely not bad at all and definitely does help. I have the Eating for IBS book and I love it. I've made quite a few things using it. This weekend I made Pumpkin Spice Spice Bread and Orange Cranberry bread. Hang in there and welcome to the boards.
