well, it's been an interesting few days.

After my visit to the emergency room on Saturday due to the pain, I got a call early Monday morning from the GI doc who was so awful to me and basically completely turfed me after my colonoscopy (wouldn't even do a follow-up) saying that they would really like to see me again. Interesting...apparently all I had to do was go into the hospital writhing in pain to get his attention.

Anyways, I went to my regular doc today as a follow-up since the GI appointment is taking some time, and they gave me Oxycodone to manage the pain, since the Tylenol 3s weren't working and I'm not eating at all really so they didn't want to give me any NSAIDS which have to be taken on an empty stomach.

Thing is, I was doing some reading on the Oxycodone and I came across this statement: "The concurrent use of anticholinergics with narcotics may produce paralytic ileus."

Does anyone know what paralytic ileus is? Because I'm also taking LIbrax which has an anticholinergic in it, but my doc and pharmacist said it should be ok...but that doesn't sound good.

Anyone had any experience with this?
Thanks,
Kelly
