Re: Sinus drainage       04/19/04 10:19 AM Edit Reply Quote crc Reged: 03/01/04 Posts: 161 Loc: Maine H Sharon, I have chronic sinusitis from allergies and I have noticed the same thing as you. One day I will have the sinus congestion and headache and then when it drains my IBS gets worse. I think that this is why my IBS is way worse in Spring and Fall as that is when my allergies are bad too and things get really congested. I was actually on a website about a year ago that said that the tissue in our nose and sinuses was similar to the tissue in our digestive tracts and was saying that chronic sinus problems can cause IBS. I will have to try and find that again by searching on google for IBS and sinus problems. I will let you know if I find it again. Do you take any meds for your sinus problems?
