How would Heather update guidelines for 2016?

Hello! I've followed the cookbook (and read it many times!) since it turned around my IBS in 2004. I feel like my IBS is "under control" (in the sense of no accidents or debilitating pain/symptoms that take me away from work) but I'm not symptom-free...usually a low-grade ache or bloating or backed up or not backed up enough is happening! While sticking to the diet, I've also read up on the new research and fads (paleo, SCD, GAPS, gluten-free, Whole 30, nightshades, iGg allergen testing). I've noticed some of the things "allowed" on the diet never sat quite right with me, and have adapted it further to exclude soy, anything coconut, lentils, and recently, gluten. So my question: I'm curious if Heather has updated some of her guidelines as well, based either on her own experience, new research, or some of the new fads? I haven't tried one of the other diets because I feel like the Venn diagram between IBS-friendly foods and say, paleo options, is pretty limited, and I'm too scared to eat trigger foods again. But I'm curious what else I could do to kick the low-grade crud to the curb! (For the record, I've got the acacia, the teas, the hypno cds, the Rome III diagnosis, and strictly adhere to the diet.)
