Hi Lu - yes, the Tummy Fiber is inherently extremely low in tannins.

Psyllium is actually not a soluble fiber - it's about 1/3 insoluble, which can cause a lot of bloating and gas for people. Cellulose is straight insoluble fiber, so an even worse choice for IBS.

You are safe to assume that there is no relation between acacia senegal and psyllium or cellulose. I am not at all surprised you had trouble with the psyllium and cellulose. The good news is that would have no bearing on how you do with the acacia.

You would want to start with 1/2 teaspoon twice daily, and increase by a extra 1/2 tsp to one dose, every 3-4 days. Continue to gradually increase at this pace until there is no constipation or diarrhea. That may end up taking a few teaspoons to several tablespoons per day, but you still start at the low dose and increase gradually to get there.
