Hey Mike:

I have quite a bit of experience with constipation and anxiety. I actually was extremely stable on the EFI diet for 8 years...basically so good that I believed I was cured and fell off the wagon. I am re-stabilizing as we speak. With that said, I am a big fan in making life style changes rather than taking life style meds. I have tried anti-anxiety prescription meds that have had little impact. What has had a major impact is yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and working out. A book with the title the Untethered Soul may be helpful. Brian Kest's power yoga is awesome and free on youtube. I also supplement with Natural Calm when trying to stabilize but I would not recommend going above the 2 teaspoon dosage. I take less when I need to stabilize and it does help one relax for a good nights sleep. Also

I do believe that when you get constipated the body ratchets up the anxiety so once you start to become more regular it will subside. Until then I would recommend "hanging with the uncomfortableness" and not reacting emotionally.

Hang in there. I have tried many approaches and this has been the only diet and lifestyle that makes me feel great.

Good luck,

Andrew
