I hear you. I was diagnosed with the same thing. Did the doctor suggest surgery? One of doctors suggested surgery to remove part of the bowel but another said eat more nuts. Anyhow, I just posted this on another site and since I'm new to this one, here goes...

thank you for adding me. I have had digestive issues for over two years. Constipation, bad taste in mouth, headache, inflamed eyes, rectal pain, etc. recently it has been very bad. The bad taste in mouth is the worst! I've had an endoscopy as well as taken medicine for GERD but nothing helps. Laxatives don't help. I have tried everything. I exercise everyday... I eat well, take probiotics, vitamin b's, linzess, amitiza etc. my doctors say I have ibs. Does it really make you feel so bad that you consider suicide? I can deal with feeling bad every so often but not every single day. I have been to specialists and many, many doctors. I've only seen doctors who accept Medicaid and I'd beginning to think that they (the drs) are no good. I have been told I have a redundant colon and ibs. Just had a colonoscopy and it was fine. How do you deal with this? My next step is John Hopkins because I just can't believe this is something simple like ibs (or maybe I just can't accept it). One specialist in gastro said I should consider surgery to remove part of the bowel. Another said eat more nuts. I really don't know what to do. Thanks to all for reading this and any help would really be appreciated. Sue

P.S. I take Zoloft, suboxone (very low does; 1 mg a day), estradiol
