Hi - I'm not familiar with gastroparesis and how that might affect IBS, I'm so sorry.

It is not uncommon for IBS to flip between diarrhea and constipation. Sometimes people routinely go back and forth, and sometimes people can be D for years and then suddenly switch to C, or vice versa.

Using soluble fiber foods and a soluble fiber supplement can gently force your bowel into normal motility, resolving both diarrhea and constipation.

Check here http://www.helpforibs.com/diet/fiber1.asp for soluble fiber foods info, and here http://www.helpforibs.com/supplements/sol_fiber1.asp for soluble fiber supplement info.
